Biography

Pastor Nina Davis was born in Washington, DC. She is the proud daughter of Bishop Thomas and Eloyce Davis. She is an anointed woman of God who began her ministry at the age 19. She is a graduate of Tomlinson College, Cleveland, TN.

Pastor Nina Davis has served on a Youth Mission Team to the British Virgin Island, which was sponsored by the Church of God of Prophecy. She has been blessed to conduct a two-week Crusade in Montego Bay Jamaica where God met them in a powerful way and His presence was felt as He poured out tremendously. Pastor Davis has served as a Youth Minister, Evangelist, and made the transition as Lead Pastor of Victory Life Christian Center in Elizabeth City NC in 1997.

Through her anointed ministry many have been delivered and set free from “Strongholds” that the world and the Church seem to feel there is no deliverance.

In July of 2017 Pastor Davis was appointed District Overseer of the Nashville N.C. District, now renamed Coastal District in which she oversees four churches.

Pastor Davis continues to travel across the Country and Abroad sharing her “Unique” style of Ministry with a heavy mandate from God to let the “Bound” know , He can Deliver You! Her voice also resounds to the singles of this generation to assure them that there is indeed a “Place” for them in God’s vineyard.

The Weight Is Over!

All of my life since the age of 12 years old, I have been overweight.  Through the years, I gained and lost, which became a vicious cycle.  At my highest weight of 326 pounds, I developed the following health issues: diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and congestive heart failure.  I was taking five insulin shots a day for diabetes and fifteen different pills.

I was dying!  I made the decision to live and not let weight be the death of me.  October 23, 2018, I had gastric bypass surgery and my life was changed.  I lost 130 pounds and while on this journey I sought God earnestly for the strength to use this tool and break the stronghold of overeating on my life.  This book was written with tears, heartbreak, and finally a peace that only God could give me.

This devotional and journal is a glimpse of how the Lord dealt with me after my surgery.  May it give you strength and insight as you read it for your journey so you can declare, “The Weight is Over.”
